Students will be given one hour to respond to a Long Essay Question from an earlier AP Exam.

Analyze the ways in which supporters of slavery in the 19th century used legal, religious, and economic arguments to defend the institution of slavery.

Students will practice the LEQ from the AP exam. The question is at a DOK of 3-4.

Students will be given the question several days before writing the essay.
