Students will be given one hour to respond to a Long Essay Question from an earlier AP Exam.
To what extent did the issue of slavery lead to the American Civil War? Consider the economic, political, and social impacts that slavery had on American society leading up to the Civil War.

Students will practice the LEQ from the AP exam. The question is at a DOK of 3-4.
Students will be given the question several days before writing the essay.
Students will be assessed based on the AP LEQ Rubric.
