409 WORLD HISTORY ACCELERATED

This course is the basis for further cultural pursuits and a background for understanding modern times with emphasis on the 21st Century Skills. It is a survey of world history from the Middle Ages to modern day. Students will examine the world in the context of time and place. During each historical period, the focus will be on vital political, economic, geographic, social, and cultural themes. This course implements relevant technology and skills performance standards through balanced assessments and differentiated performance tasks. This course is for grade 9 students.
