Students may think that the Latin American revolutions, like the American Revolution, were several distinct, individual wars (for example, that the Mexican Revolution was a single war and the Haitian Revolution was a single war). In fact, the term revolution is an umbrella term that includes a variety of discreet yet related military, economic, and political conflicts.

The Primary Source Inquiry Library provides primary source texts which add additional complexity and depth to the content.
Students will work on review sheets as well as take an open-note quiz on the unit.
There will also be cumulative projects that will assess their learning.
