Daily classwork moves systematically through structured laboratory journals—progressing from The Ecosystem (biome constraints) and The Bio-Chemistry (neurochemical pathways) to The Culture (indigenous ritual functions) and The Regulation (legal and political conflicts). The sequence reaches its milestone check at DOK 3, where students must evaluate complex texts and media notes to isolate cause-and-effect relationships, justify personal opinions on plant legality using historical context, and draft a finalized synthesis report on their research pages before transitioning to poster production.

Core Construction Phase: This sequence represents the central investigation and engineering phase of the unit project. Students use their research journals to populate the four quadrants of the Sacred Plant Poster [Updated] template.
