Election of this course should be based on a strong background in mathematics and science. It is an intensive and analytical course. Emphasis is placed on the principles and applications of mechanics, wave motion, heat, electricity, magnetism, optics and atomic and nuclear physics. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of laboratory activities, projects, problem solving work, and computer applications in physics. To derive maximum benefit, students should take Calculus with this course.
