Students will know how to find area under a curve and will know how to use that for real-world applications.

Students will estimate the area under a curve using basic geometric concepts, determine the exact area under a curve by applying concepts from calculus, and use the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus as a more efficient way to solve problems involving area under a curve. Students will also begin to learn methods for solving specific types of integrals.

Students will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of integrals and finding area under a curve through collaboration with peers during class and performance on individual assessments.
