Lesson 5: 2.5 Continuity
Duration of Days: 3
Lesson Objective
Students will understand when a function is continuous or discontinuous and will be able to deterimine values of constants that will make a function continuous.
Students will also understand and apply the Intermediate Value Theorem.
1. What does it mean for a function to be continuous?
2. What are the different types of discontinuities?
3. How does continuity relate to limits?
4. What types of functions are continuous over their whole domains?
5. What is the Intermediate Value Theorem?
- continuity
- Intermediate Value Theorem
