Unit 5: color

Core Concepts & Vocabulary used in color theory and application.
Students will be able to identify and apply the Primary, Secondary, & Tertiary: Identify the 3 primaries (Red, Yellow, Blue), the 3 secondaries (Orange, Green, Violet), and the 6 tertiaries (e.g., Red-Orange, Blue-Green).

1- students will create a color wheel by using only the three primary colors (plus black and white) to mix an entire 12-step wheel.
2- students will complete a second project that demonstrates color theory application.

Students will be able to mix and identify the hues used to create a color wheel

- Students will produce a color scale using complementary colors.
