Students will know how space is used to create depth in artwork.
Students will know how size and placement affect the sense of space in artwork.
Students will know how the concept of space works in drawing.
Students will know how depth is achieved in drawing.

Knowledge:
Students will be able to create a sense of space in sketches and drawings.
Students will be able to develop and refine their ability to create space in their artwork.

Students will be able to create a series of sketches that demonstrate space in a drawing.
Students will be able to apply value to a drawing to create or enhance the illusion of space.
Students will be able to apply concepts about perspective to create the illusion of 3-dimensional space.

Students will demonstrate the ability to create space in drawing.

Individual project evaluation based on project objectives. 

Students will use a sketchbook to practice, develop and refine drawing concepts.
