Unit 3: Types of Lens

Students will understand that focal length isn't just about "closeness," it’s about Field of View.

They will also understand the Physical Design of a camera for example: Prime vs. Zoom and Light Capacity: "Fast" vs. "Slow" Glass.

Students will complete a hands-on experience where they can physically see the differences between the lens, touch the lens and use the lens. This will allow students to compare and contrast the difference between all lens available.

By the end of this lesson, students will look at a camera lens and see a tool for specific visual problems rather than just another lens. They will demonstrate this by being able to apply this knowledge to Practical Application where they pick the right lens for the right situation.
