Lesson Objective

Students will begin to use the camera in manual mode. They will understand how and when to change the three settings of the exposure triangle.

What happens when I raise the ISO? What happens when I raise the shutter speed-does the phot get darker or lighter? If I can one setting in the exposure triangle, do I have to change them all-does one setting effect the others

Students will critique and analyze the how changing the Aperture effects the photograph and the depth of field.

Connect with students by giving examples on how and when they would use manual settings and demonstrate and reference different examples.

It is easier to use a different setting. It is easier to let the camera choice the settings.

Students will be given a modified assignment. And aided in the help of setting their camera.

Students will complete at least one skill development assignment, as well as one project. Portfolio will be submitted for assessment.

This Portfolio assignment must show all three settings working together. For example, Light painting. Although this is done in the dark it uses all three setting if the exposure triangle together.
