Students are provided with a variety of virtual and physical samples of photographs that demonstrate various types of composition principles. This includes real life locations and people from around the world
Students may not realize that there is a difference between a snapshot and a photograph that shows a true composition principle. Students may not all to realize that the principles of composition and the elements of art apply to photography as well.
Ways to differentiate instruction for
- Vary the complexity for different learners:
-have this student complete less examples of each if takes them longer to understand
- Advanced learners can explore the use of different camera settings
Students will create a digital composition portfolio that demonstrates their understanding and knowledge of the composition principles. Students will use a dslr camera to take photos to create this portfolio.
