Lesson Objective
Students will be able to switch between manual focus and auto focus.
Students will be able to locate and utilize AF focus points found on the camera
Students will be able to set a low f-stop to utilize an AF point while blurring the background
Can you locate the AF versus MF button?
Are you able to zoom in and zoom out on autofocus by pushing down the shutter button?
Are you able to locate and change the AF points found on your camera?

DOK 2: Skills and concepts. Students will build on their camera skills by mastering autofocus point selection.
Students will master the skill of holding down the shutter button until it beeps in autofocus.
Students will be shown a series of photographs that are used in high end photography and their everyday lives in ads. And taught how most of these photographs are manipulated and taken with a dslr camera or a high-end camera and not a phone. Students will make the connection between the photos they want and the photos they are getting with their phone based on the level of skill needed to take the photograph.
That focusing is easy because the camera will move In and out for you and do all the focusing. That DSLR cameras are just like phone cameras.
Students will be guided to move one focus spot at a time vs all nine at once.
Students will be able to capture photographs that demonstrates proper focusing in auto and manual focus settings.
Students will be able to demonstrate their ability to zoom in and zoom out and find focus in Manuel and auto focus settings.
Students will understand that blurry Photographs will not be accepted.
A DSLR camera or equivalent for each student.
