Students will learn how the camera was invented. By looking at early tools, chemical experiments, and the first inventors, students will see how these ideas still shape the cameras we use today.

Students will create a pinhole camera (or a variation of a camera) that they will use to understand the basics principles of how a camera works.

Students will be able to complete a project that demonstrated basic knowledge of how a camera works. 

For example a pinhole camera made out of construction paper.

Students will demonstrate understanding of a simple timeline of the history of photography.
