Unit 2: PERFORM
Duration of Days: 180
Students will understand how advanced choral performance is shaped by technical skill, music literacy, stylistic awareness, and independent decision-making. They will know how context, analysis, and ensemble collaboration influence interpretation, refinement, and audience impact.
Students will independently and collaboratively rehearse and perform advanced choral repertoire using refined vocal technique, solfège-based sight-singing, and ensemble skills. They will analyze scores, interpret music with stylistic accuracy, lead rehearsal processes, apply feedback, and adapt performances for varied contexts.
Students demonstrate learning through advanced ensemble performance, independent preparation, leadership in rehearsal, sight-singing, reflective practice, and evaluation using established criteria. Evidence includes concerts, recordings, self-directed practice work, and performance-based assessments aligned to NCAS.
