Students will understand that musical ideas can be generated, developed, refined, and communicated through vocal exploration, improvisation, composition, and collaborative creativity. They will understand how musical structure, text, expression, and technology contribute to the creative process.
Students will create and refine original musical ideas using improvisation, solfège, body percussion, digital composition tools, and collaborative rehearsal processes. They will evaluate creative choices, revise musical ideas, and communicate artistic intent.
Students demonstrate learning through improvisation, composition projects, collaborative creation, rehearsal experimentation, digital music projects, and reflective evaluation of creative work.
