Unit 1: Greek Theatre

Students will know how to analyze the impact of the author's choices regarding how to develop and relate elements of a drama, analyze multiple interpretations of a drama evaluating how each version interprets the source text, and draw evidence from literary or informational texts to support analysis, reflection, and research.

Read and Analyze the play Medea by Euripides
Examine how the play would have been originally performed in its historical context
Examine modern reinterpretations of Medea
Research, design and present their own interpretation of Medea set in an alternate time period and location
