Students will know composition and grammar skills to improve overall writing ability.
Students will be able to apply grammar and writing lessons to the genre writing assignments.
Students will demonstrate learning by completing the quiz and/or open-ended response Think/Write questions, the end-of-unit assessment, and diagnostic assessments (StudySync and NoRedInk). Students will also complete an argumentative/opinion end-of-unit project to demonstrate their comprehension of the unit of study.
